Fall 2008 Lacrosse - Boys
Lacrosse America will be offering a program through VOLZ as follows:
- Wednesdays, September 10-October 15th (6 weeks) 4:30-6:00pm 4-9th grade boys $125 at Manor Park.
- Also, there will be a competitive fall league for more experienced players (Sundays - 4th-12th grade), most likely at the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex, still waiting for confirmation.
- Northwest Suburban High School League (Crystal Lake) - Sundays. Alternate to Lacrosse America league.
- And then indoor starts at the end of October at Libertyville Sports Complex and possibly the new Barrington indoor facility on NW Highway.

FOR THE EXPERIENCED PLAYER:
Vernon Hills and Glenview Competitve Leagues
|
| WHO: EXPERIENCED (at least one season) players looking for team instruction and competitive game play. Beginning players or players looking for more individual instruction should sign up for a Lacrosse America Fall "Skills and Drills" program.
WHERE: Vernon Hills Athletic Complex or Glenview-TBA (Choose location most convienent to you, JV and Varsity only offered at Vernon Hills location) Four Levels: (register for your actual grade, requests to play up will be taken at the field.)
- 4-6th Grade (offered at Glenview and Vernon Hills)
- 7-8th Grade (offered at Glenview and Vernon Hills)
- JV (Freshmen and Sophomores) (offered at Vernon Hills Only)
- Varsity (Juniors and Seniors) (offered at Vernon Hills Only)
10 on 10 standard lacrosse league with local high school and Lacrosse America coaches and certified referee's. NO TEAM REGISTRATION: Teams will be made by Lacrosse America in order to make game play competitive and fair. The first day will be used for player evaluation and teammaking. All teams from each level will play at the same time so carpool/teammate requests will not be taken. Players wishing to move up a level should register and show up with their actual grade level, and request an evaluation from the program director on the first day. Final decisions to move up will be based on players physical and mental aptitude, knowlege of the game, and open spots at the next level. DO NOT PLAY UP WITH OUT DIRECTORS PERMISSION.

4-6 and 7-8th Grade:
2 Hours - One hour practice focusing on team concepts followed by a one hour league game. CROSSOVER GAMES: Depending on the total number of teams at each location, there may be a "crossover" game scheduled for each team or an end of season tournament between the Vernon Hills and Glenview teams. So 1 or 2 weeks may involve travelling to the opposing location (Vernon Hills or Glenview.)
- JV (Freshmen and Sophomores)
2 Hours - One hour practice focusing on team concepts followed by a one hour league game. No traveling involved.
- *Varsity (Juniors and Seniors)
1.5 Hours - Supervised and structured warm-up followed by league game. No traveling involved.
DATES:
Sundays, September 7 - October 12
No conflicts with Fall Shootout - Youth and Frosh(Oct.19), JV and Var(Oct.26)
Vernon Hills:
- 4-6th Grade: 12:30-2:30pm
- 7-8th Grade: Most games will be 2:30-4:30pm. However, depending on total number of teams there may be some 12:30-2:30pm games.
- JV: 9:00-11:00am
- Varsity: Most games will be 11:00am-12:30pm. However, depending on total number of teams there may be some 12:30-2:00pm games.
Glenview:
- 4-6th Grade: Most games 1-3:00pm. However, depending on total number of teams there may be some 3-5:00pm games.
- 7-8th Grade: Most games 11am-1:00pm. However, depending on total number of teams there may be some 9-11:00am games.

Northwest Suburban - Fall High School Boys League - Crystal Lake

NOTE: Early registration ends on August 20. After August 20 the registration fee is $169. Deadline for all registrations is August 27. Spaces are limited, register early.
High School players will participate in Sunday games preceded by 30 minute practices. Games will take place at the Regional Sports Center in Crystal Lake or the Northwest United Soccer Field on 176 and Valley View in Prairie Grove. Games will be between noon and 6pm.
Fall Lacrosse League includes a kick off clinic event on August 31st run by Major League Lacrosse players Jake Deane and Mike Gabel of True Lacrosse and other MLL and NLL players. This event is included in your registration fee.
